There was some mystery, some tension, lots of romance and so much Christmas feeling in this book.

This is a book in a series, and so if you’ve read then then you’d be thrilled to see characters you know and love popping up!  I haven’t read any of the other books, but it was still enjoyable.

It’s that time of year when the Christmas books start coming out, and this is a good place to start, with ice skating, hot chocolate and warm cosy fires.

When I told a friend I had this book to read, she told me that she had been surprised by the graphic sex scenes in it as the other books she’d read by T J Klune have been heartwarming and cosy.  I started reading Wolfsong, and sent my friend a message saying that it read like it would be spicy in the sex scenes.  When I was reading the longest sex scene, I sent my friend a message because graphic is the word for that sex scene!

I liked the way T J Klune (no, this isn’t going to be about the sex scenes, i’ve said enough) described the family, and how important touch is for them, solidifying then together.

I was at about 30% through this book and honestly wondered what more could happen, I thought I knew what was going to come, and I was really wrong!

It’s got found family, a lot of love, romantic, friend and family, and a big dose of magic (you thought I was going to say sex, didn’t you).

Set in 1939 and 1977, this is a duel perspective story, with chapters that mostly alternate.

It works very well at evoking the 1940s, but I didn’t find it did much about the 1970s.

I enjoyed the unveiling of the story, and the theories I dreamt up were quite different to how the story evolves!

I thought the effects of war were well demonstrated, but on families, and on those in the forces.

Edible Houseplants is a guide for growing edible Houseplants or with amazing flowers.

There are suggestions for beginners, hints and tips on what to grown where and information on pests, how to grow them and potential problems

There are lots of photos of the plants, the fruit and the flowers.

This is a lovely book if you want to work out how to grow things like citrus, coffee plants, avocado and many more!

This is a really interesting book, with good stories from science to give more context from some of the areas covered. There are pictures to help give context as well.

I enjoyed this book, and liked the warning given about a gruesome experiment, so I skipped reading the bits I wouldn’t enjoy!

All in all, a good book for learning a little more about why we do the things we do!

I found this book to be quite uncomfortable in places, and I didn’t really like Charlotte, or agree with her decisions, so that also made the book hard to read.

I enjoyed (most) of the journey the story takes you on, and the characters, though I feel some of them could have had more depth, such as Sophie.

The town in this book reminded me of the TV show, Eureka in the sense that they’re there for the local employer, who invests in the town (money, in this case rather than weird and wonderful inventions), and there’s a secret.

I enjoyed the playing out of the story. I had an idea about some aspects, but there were lots of things I didn’t see coming!

This is an entertaining sci-fi, with a good pace to the story, lots of aspects to think about, and some mysteries to solve along the way!

Starter Villain is a great story! I found it to be fast paced and cinematic!

It’s a very fun read, with fantastic twists, characters that delight and lots of comedy!

I have enjoyed every John Scalzi book I’ve read so far! They have all delivered on great plots, lots of action and all been very atmospheric!

I wanted to enjoy this book – it has monks in medieval times and someone getting hurt, so I wondered if it would focus on a mystery element, but it didn’t.
It has a lot of characters, it moves through time without always telling you the new date, and there’s a lot of detail about why a text is a bad (as in the church won’t approve) text to translate.
I did find it hard to get through as I wasn’t really grabbed by it.

This book covers the teenage years of a boy, whose parents have split up, and he goes from living in Michigan to Montana.

There are some trigger warnings for this book: rape, alcohol abuse, under age sex and animal cruelty.

I didn’t find myself gripped by the book. It was a fine story, but I didn’t feel like there was much emotional change between August at the beginning of the book Vs at the end of the book.

It jumps forward in time, with your guidance for this being the seasons. I found some of the storylines to be a little loose.
