My review:⭐⭐⭐I wanted to enjoy this book – it has monks in medieval times and someone getting hurt, so I wondered if it would focus on a mystery element, but it didn’t.
It has a lot of characters, it moves through time without always telling you the new date, and there’s a lot of detail about why a text is a bad (as in the church won’t approve) text to translate.
I did find it hard to get through as I wasn’t really grabbed by it.
